Your beats are yours.

Spitty uses microphone audio to turn your beatboxing into a drum grid. Your recordings and saved beats stay on your device unless you choose to share a corrected example to help improve the model.

Audio and beat data

Spitty requests microphone permission only so you can record beatbox audio. Recordings, detected hits, BPM, grid edits, names, and saved beats are processed and stored locally by default.

Optional model-improvement sharing

After correcting a generated beat, you may choose to share the recording, verified grid, and derived acoustic features with Spitty's training system. This is optional and can be changed in Settings. Eligible shared examples may be used automatically to train and validate future beatbox-classification models. Candidate models are promoted only after automated validation.

Account and service data

Spitty may use anonymous Firebase authentication to securely associate uploads with an installation. Firebase may process technical information needed to operate the service, such as device, network, authentication, storage, and error data.

Purchases

If you subscribe, purchases are handled by Apple or Google. Spitty receives purchase status needed to unlock subscription features, but does not receive your complete payment-card details.

Your choices

You can deny microphone access, skip onboarding calibration, keep model-improvement sharing disabled, delete local saved beats, or remove the app and its local data. To ask about deletion of an example you shared, contact support with as much non-sensitive context as possible.
